Director Finance - Amsterdam Area

This organization is highly ranked on the "Best Companies to Work For" list. We are looking for an energetic Director Finance with thorough experience in a multinational US Company.

Your role as a Director Finance will be:
# responsible for designing, developing and the execution of standardized processes across all Europe,
Middle-East and Africa (EMEA) finance teams for non-standard commercial transactions;
# closely partner with, among others, Legal, Sales Operations and Sales teams across EMEA and sales
leadership and corporate Finance functions at US headquarters;
# manage a small group of finance subject matter experts. This group will coordinate finance and accounting
requirements for the pre-contract process as well as finance and accounting requirements around delivery
processes.

Essential Functions:
- Design, develop and implement operating policies that ensure the operations effective achievement of
objectives.
- Interpret and communicate financial operating results and margins of non standard business transactions.
- Develop and approve exceptions to policy tied directly to area of responsibility.
- Work collaboratively with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives.
- Participate in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs
and people within your area of responsibility.
- Utilize previously technical, project management, and people management experience to actively lead
strategic regional and global projects.
- Control of planning, staffing, budgeting, and managing expenses.

Requirements for this role:
# excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills;
# broad conceptual judgement, initiative and ability to deal with complex cross functional questions;
# in depth knowledge of US GAAP revenue recognition rules is required;thorough knowledge of general
accounting including thorough skills knowledge plus the application of general accounting theory;
# excellent communication and influencing skills and must be effective at executive as well as operational
levels;
# proficient in MS word, Excel, and Power Point software programs;a demonstrated ability to manage
professional level employees.

Education & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in finance and business operations is required.Experience must cover working in an
US multi-national environment at a senior management or executive level and must cover commercial
finance working on complex business transactions.
- 3+ years of experience in people management.
- A University Degree, or equivalent experience is required.
- A post-graduate degree is desired.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, critical projects is required.
